Extract PDF Pages: practical uses and limits

Save only the pages needed for a separate submission or reference copy. Page positions in a tool can differ from printed numbers in a report, so check thumbnails instead of relying only on visible document numbering.

Questions About Extracting PDF Pages

Can I extract a range of pages?
Yes. Enter page numbers and ranges such as 1, 2-4, 8-13, or select the thumbnails. Hold Shift to select a continuous range.
Can I keep the selected pages in one PDF?
Yes. Enable the combine option before extracting. With it off, each selected page becomes its own PDF and the files are packaged in a ZIP.
Does extraction turn pages into images?
No. The tool copies PDF pages into new documents rather than rendering each page as an image. It does not edit the text within those pages.
Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF?
Enter the correct password when prompted. The output is a new PDF; it does not automatically inherit the source password protection.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
The pages are processed locally in your browser. Your PDF and its password are not sent to a processing server.
Is this PDF tool completely free?
Yes. Processing and downloading results are completely free. Keep an original copy for future work.
