Frequently Asked Questions

Which fields can I edit?
Title, author, subject, keywords, creator and producer. Existing values are read into the form for each document.
Does editing one file change every document?
No. Select each file card to change that document’s own fields. The save action processes all documents whose information has loaded.
What happens when I clear a field?
An empty value removes that field from the saved PDF.
What does the full metadata wipe option do?
It clears document information, dates, XMP metadata and stored thumbnails. It also removes the six edited fields after they are written, so leave it off when you want to keep those values.
Can this remove sensitive text from the pages?
No. Editing or clearing metadata does not remove visible text or images from the PDF pages.
Are the source PDFs changed or uploaded?
No. Processing runs locally in your browser and creates new copies. Multiple completed files can be downloaded together as a ZIP.
Is this PDF tool completely free?
Yes. Processing and downloading results are completely free. Keep an original copy for future work.
