Save a Rebuilt Copy of a Problem PDF
A PDF can contain its page content but still cause errors because its internal file structure needs rebuilding. This tool checks for reconstruction during loading and can save a rewritten copy. It cannot recreate pages, text or images that are missing from the file.
How to Repair a PDF
Add the documents
Select one or more PDF files and enter the correct password for protected sources. The files need to load before they can be processed.
Check the detected status
Read the structural status in the workspace, then click “Save a repaired copy”. A file without detected structural damage can still be rewritten.
Download and check the copy
Save a single rewritten PDF or a ZIP containing multiple results. Open the downloaded copies to check that the required content is present.
Repair PDF Files: practical uses and limits
Try to rewrite a damaged PDF so supported content can be opened again. Repair depends on what can still be read; missing bytes or severely damaged objects cannot be promised recoverable. Keep the damaged original.
