Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of comments does this tool add?
It adds standard PDF text-note annotations, usually displayed as sticky-note icons. It does not add highlights, freehand drawings or replies.
Can I edit comments already in the file?
Yes. Existing text-note annotations are loaded and can be edited or removed. Other annotation types are outside this tool’s comment list.
Do I have to enter an author name?
No. The author field is optional. A blank name uses the default anonymous author label.
Can I delete all notes?
Yes. Clear all comments removes the notes listed in this workspace. Save the PDF to apply those removals; other annotation types are not part of this list.
Why is Save comments unavailable when I first open a file?
The action becomes available after adding, editing or removing a note. Opening an unchanged PDF alone does not create a new result.
Will the comments look identical in every PDF reader?
Their appearance and editing controls depend on the reader. Use a PDF reader that supports sticky-note annotations to view and edit them.
Does this change the page text or upload the document?
It writes annotations without editing the page’s original text. Processing happens locally in the browser and creates a new PDF; source password protection is not automatically retained.
Is this PDF tool completely free?
Yes. Processing and downloading results are completely free. Keep an original copy for future work.
